From mid-December 'Wave Front - the forefront of Australian contemporary art' will be an exhibition and musical exchange made possible through a new Creator-in-Residency program hosted by the multi-purpose art platform Tokyo Wonder Site to offer young international artists space to reside, research, produce and exhibit works in fields ranging from art and design to music.

As part of the 2006 Australia-Japan Year of Exchange, 'Wave Front' will be part of the new residency in which the visual artists Shaun Gladwell, Daniel Crooks, Craig Walsh, TV Moore and Michael Riley will make and exhibit their work inspired by the influence of the new environment of Tokyo while the composer Liza Lim and the artistic director of Elision Ensemble Darryl Buckley will give lessons to young aspiring Japanese musicians at the Ensemble Academy.
